My introduction to cakes happened the day I married my husband, Colin who is a qualified pastry cook with over 40 years experience. Together we have owned & sold two bakeries where I learnt how to improve my cake decorating skills over the years.
So that was over 20 years ago & now we have formed a winning combination with Colin’s deliciously moist cakes & my decorating skills.
It gives me immense joy when customers “ooh & ahh” when they see their cake for the first time (& some have even cried) & that makes it all worth it. Our registered cake business is now home-based. We both hold our Food Handlers Certificate & the business has its own insurance.
